Cats Killed By Car Antifreeze

TWO pet cats from the same street have died within a week from antifreeze poisoning.

John and Melanie Els' two-year-old ginger tom Barrie had to be put down a week after their neighbour's cat was killed.

Catering manager John, 29, of Kintore, Aberdeenshire, said: "We are devastated. We want a chemical added to mask the sweet taste of antifreeze that attracts small animals."

John Robbins of the Animal Concern Advice Line said: "People should take extra care handling this dangerous chemical."
