Final farewell to murdered Moira Jones

QUEEN'S PARK murder victim Moira Jones was finally laid to rest yesterday.

The 40-year-old's funeral service was held at 11.30am at St Andrew's Church in her home town of Weston, Staffordshire.

Moira's body was found in the Glasgow park just yards from her home in May.

She moved to Scotland five years ago and worked as an executive for drinks firm Britvic.

Slovakian Marek Harcar, 32, was extradited after Strathclyde Police were granted a European arrest warrant.

He appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with her murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

Hemade no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

Last month Moira's boyfriend Paul Thompson, 43, joined her parents Bea, 67, andHugh, 69, and brother Grant, 37, at a memorial service in Queen's Park.
