Death row Scot Kenny Richey arrested over roof drama
FREED death row prisoner Kenny Richey was arrested after staging a roof top drama.
The ex-con spent Friday night under police guard in hospital.
Richey, 43, slashed his arms after a bust up with girlfriend Kimberley Lee before climbing on the roof in Dalry, Edinburgh. A friend said: "Kimberley called an ambulance.
When they arrived Kenny freaked out. He thought they'd lock him up."
He was talked down by firefighters and freed by police yesterday.
Police said a 43-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow on breach of the peace charges.
Last night Richey said: "When I climbed up on the roof my arm got caught on barbed wire, that's what caused all the cuts.
"I was just trying to hide from the police."
