James McAvoy: I'm a real skinflint

HOLLYWOOD star James McAvoy has admitted he is a miser.

Glasgow-born James, 29, has raked in big bucks for new movie Wanted with Angelina Jolie and Last King Of Scotland.

But he still drives his 10-year-old Nissan Micra.

McAvoy said: "I'm just quite tight. I play to stereotype - I'm as tight as a Scotsman's wallet."

He is filming The Last Station - about Russian author Leo Tolstoy - with his wife Anne-Marie Duff.

He said: "We're doing it for the right reasons. We both want todo it."

Wanted opens across the UK on June 25.
