Whistleblower Reveals £8m Itv Scam

Quiz Calls Ring Up A £500 Bill

WE EXPOSED the TV quiz rip-offs last year when our reporters called three of the 13 interactive shows - spending £375 - without getting through once.

On Friday we tried again with Five's premium-rate Quiz Call, owned by Ostrich media. The question, pinned on a board behind presenter Chris Hopkins, was: "Name an animal with 'A' in its name" and they wanted the top 18 answers.

It offered prizes from £100 to £3000.

This time we made 300 calls - costing more than £500.

We were connected to the show only once, hardly surprising as the show has 500 callers trying to get through every minute at peak times.

We won nothing.
