Cops plan 'no body' death rap

A FARMER'S disappearance could lead to murder charges even if her body is not found, police said yesterday.

Kate Prout's husband Adrian was released without charge last week but remains on police bail.

A 48-year-old woman, believed to be his girlfriend Diane Bellamy, was also released and is no longer subject to bail.

Kate, 55, has been missing for six months and Detective Superintendent Neil Kelly yesterday said his team were convinced she had been murdered.

He added a "no body" prosecution had not been ruled out.

In a letter to neighbours in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Kelly wrote: "I am completely satisfied Kate did not leave of her own volition."
