POLICE have carried out three controlled explosions at the home of a teenage terror suspect.
Andrew Ibrahim, 19, was arrested on Thursday under the Terrorism Act 2000.
He is a recent convert to Islam but had been pictured on his MySpace page as a spiky-haired techno fan with dyed red hair and facial piercings.
His website profile lists his favourite music as hardcore, trance and techno.
Police evacuated the streets around his home in Comb Paddock, Bristol and carried out the third in a series of controlled blasts yesterday.
They now have seven days to question the teenager, who moved into the quiet cul-desac just weeks ago from a half way house for troubled youngsters. Neighbours said Ibrahim, who now wears white robes, had disturbed the min recent weeks with Islamic chanting.
Family liaison officers escorted his father, Nassif Ibrahim, home last night.
The consultant pathologist declined to comment as he returned to the large detached property in the nearby village of Frenchay where Andrew once lived.
His wife, Victoria, lives a few hundred yards down the road in a luxury apartment which she shares with another man.
She and Andrew both left the family home at least a year ago.
Assistant Chief Constable Jackie Roberts said: "I cannot rule out further arrests.
Extensive inquiries are ongoing."
