Air Travellers Face New Eu Snooper Law

PASSENGERS travelling on domestic flights or between European Union countries could have to hand over up to 19 pieces of information on check-in.

These would include their credit card details and mobile phone number.

The proposal is revealed in a leaked draft of EU anti-terror plans that would cover every air passenger in EU countries, plus sea and rail travel.

MEP Sarah Ludford said: "Where is this going to stop? There's no mature discussion of risk."
