BOUNCING baby William Donaldson has brought sunshine back to his family's life after the death of his big brother.
Mum Laura and dad Stephen lost Lennox, who was Scotland's smallest baby after being born 17 weeks early weighing 14oz.
Their wee fighter - named after heavyweight champ Lennox Lewis - died last year.
But the birth of 6lb 12oz William Isaac Stephen George at Forth Park Hospital in Kirkcaldy has given the family a reason to smile again.
Laura, 22, of Glenrothes, said: "We still can't quite believe it.
The past year has been awful but wee William is a ray of happiness for us all. "When he is older we will tell him about his wonderful, brave big brother."
Dad Stephen, 29, a fibre glass engineer, said: "William is just magic. I never believed I would have another son after losing our little brave heart."
Lennox, who fitted in the palm of Stephen's hand, had been given a fighting chance by doctors after his birth.
But he died suddenly 30 days later, three days after being taken off a ventilator.
Laura was apprehensive about being pregnant again.
She said: "Our whole family held its breath for nine months.
"Even though William is nearly 6lb heavier than his brother he is still tiny to me."
William's sisters Stevie, six, four-year-old Morgan, and Aleyx, two, love queuing up for a cuddle.
Stephen, said: "The girls all love him but Lennox is never far from our minds."
