This 18-month-old Border collie lives with Geraldine, Terry and Natalie Dees in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire. Where did you get her?

From a breeder in East Linton, near Carlisle, for Natalie's 18th birthday in August 2005.

What does she eat?

Dry dog food with biscuits.

Where is the name from?

It's an anagram of her breeder's name, Erica.

What does she like doing?

She loves long walks and hunting for plastic bottles, which she then likes to be thrown for her.

How does she behave around people?

OLLIE

This four-year-old cat lives with Brenda and Harry Docherty in Cumbernauld. Where did you get him?

He was advertised for sale in the local pet shop.

What does he eat?

A mix of wet and dry cat food and he loves getting the leftover milk from my breakfast cereal bowl.

Where is the name from?

He was called Orlando when we got him but my husband is a fan of Laurel and Hardy, so we shortened it to Ollie.

What does he like doing?

He has a manic 15 minutes every morning when he chases his toy mouse. He throws it in the air in an effort to 'kill' it.

How does he behave around people?

He loves to sit on our knee and be petted and is very patient with our playful grandson.

What's the oddest thing he has done?

He leaps on to the roof of our car and then jumps from car to car. He only ever miaows if he is in pain.

RUDY

This 15-month-old Jack Russell terrier lives with Jan, David and Fiona Taylor in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire. Where did you get her?

From a colleague's grandfather in Rothesay. He wanted another dog, so bred his bitch and Rudy was one of the pups.

What does she eat?

Chicken Winalot or Caesar but she absolutely loves raw carrots.

Where is her name from?

When we brought her home Manchester United were playing. It was also Christmas time, so with all the talk of Ruud and Rudolph she became Rudy.

What does she like doing?

She loves long walks through the fields and playing with golf balls.

How does she behave around people?

She loves attention from folk and will fall asleep on their knees.

What's the oddest thing she has done?

She loves collecting golf balls. She is a little hoarder.
