HERBERT
This one-and-a-half-year-old hamster lives with Claire Barclay in Dalgety Bay, Fife.
Where did you get him?
From the Acorn Pet Centre in Dalgety Bay.
What does he eat?
Hamster nuts and seeds, apples, carrots, monkey nuts and special treats such as hamster chocolate drops.
Where is the name from?
It just suits him and often gets shortened to Herbie.
What does he like doing?
Squeezing into tiny gaps and chewing anything he can get his little paws on, including paper and carpet.
How does he behave around people?
He can be fidgety and nervous until he gets used to people then he doesn't mind being held.
What's the oddest thing he has done?
He climbs behind radiators and does acrobatics by dangling from the bars of his cage.
JASPER
This much-loved mongrel lives with the Taylor family in Glasgow.
Where did you get him?
From the Bothwell Bridge SSPCA rescue centre.
What does he eat?
Cesar tinned dog food, carrots and Pedigree treats.
Where is the name from?
The comedian Jasper Carrot because of the colour of his fur and love of carrots.
What does he like doing?
Playing, going for long walks and running in muddy puddles.
How does he behave around people?
He is friendly and loves showing his toys to his pedigree chums.
What's the oddest thing he has done?
When we give him a plastic bottle to play with he always manages to get the lid off.
PEPSI
This cat lives with Elizabeth Hillcoat in Linwood, Renfrewshire.
Where did you get her?
From my son John as a gift.
She is one of the best presents I have ever been given.
What does she eat?
Tuna and cat chews are her favourite.
Where is the name from?
I called her after my son's favourite soft drink, Pepsi Max. It suits her because she is so bubbly.
What does she like doing?
She is always bringing leaves into the house out of the neighbours' gardens for me to see - she creates a lot of mess for me to clean up but I don't mind too much.
How does she behave around people?
She is very friendly and playful, she loves people.
She always comes up for a pat when visitors come into the house.
What's the oddest thing she has done?
She loves playing with and chasing Biro pens. She looks very funny leaping about.
ROSIE
This three-year-old labrador lives with 12-year-old Kate Haining in Troon, Ayrshire.
Where did you get her?
From a breeder in Carluke when she was seven weeks old.
What does she eat?
Beta dog food and she likes coleslaw, cheese and tuna.
Where is the name from?
We think it suits her because she is so bright and bouncy.
What does she like doing?
Going to the beach, catching sticks and chasing other dogs.
How does she behave around people?
She is always looking for attention and is very bouncy.
When she is tired she likes to curl up next to use on the couch and get a cuddle.
What's the oddest thing she has done?
She puts her nose through the fence to try to get the labrador next door to play with her. When it growls at her she runs around the garden at top speed for five minutes.
