Fawks & Sidney Pets Corner
I have been back to the vet yet again - this time I have an eye infection. Sometimes it seems like we are never away from there.
Our vet Ronan is very nice to us but we do get sick of being prodded and poked.
This time I had to get funny orange dye put in my eye, which was a bit weird. Even stranger, it turned green after a minute.
Then it all started to run out of my nostrils - apparently that means my tear ducts work well - and when I licked it away my tongue went green too.
I looked like some sort of spaniel version of The Incredible Hulk.
As usual we got some nice treats to make up for going to the vet - that is the upside of our regular illnesses.
I think we are hypochondriacs - or mum and dad are.
Some people wait for ages before taking their pets to the vet if something is wrong but as soon as we seem not well we are straight down there.
I suppose that is a good thing really - and part of us being spoiled.
We have been taking a new oil recently to make our coats nicer too. It is called Yumega and has made a big difference, especially to Siddy.
He used to get flaky skin all over his coat which made him look like he had been out in the snow.
Thankfully that has stopped - it was rank!
Fawks has been teasing me about my flaky coat for ages so I am really glad it has gone away now.
This Yumega is really good. We tried cod liver oil before and that seemed to be making a difference but this new stuff has really done the trick.
You can also get it for cats but why bother?
My coat is lovely again and I look ready for the show ring. Fawks looks alright too I suppose.
We also got agility sets but the jumps would not work in our garden.
The Clix Agility Kits from www.company ofanimals.co.uk are brilliant.
There are tunnels, jumps, weave poles and pause mats.
Sadly the jumps have spikes to go into grass but our garden is all concrete and decking so we can't use them.
We complained and the makers are doing new types with stands.
How good is that?
Our fame really helps all dogs.
We are important.
