Endangered species could find themselves emigrating en masse thanks to global warming. Scientists are discussing the possibility to save them from extinction.

But you're unlikely to see polar bears on Aberdeen beach. It may be cold but the new home must be as similar to the beasts' original habitat as possible.

And they can't be shifted to a place where they'll put natives at risk - such as penguins in colder parts of the Antarctic.
