Pets Corner: Our Doggy Blog

Fawks & Sidney

Our fans might be surprised this week - we have made friends with a cat called Kaitlyn. I don't mind cats but Sid hates them.

Our mum and dad's friends Ian and Victoria got Kaitlyn because Ian is a big girl - he's afraid of dogs (except us).

She is a very posh cat - a British Blue - and lives in a swanky flat. Her mum Victoria says Kaitlyn would have been a wee ned if not for her as she was born in a dodgy area and her cat mum sold her.

Kaitlyn is a very strange name for a cat - I have an unusual name but Kaitlyn is just weird. I blame Victoria.

She is an indoor cat so she just lazes about the flat all the time, sleeping.

I'd miss walks but cats are more stupid than dogs so are happy at home.

She is very spoiled, even more than Sidney - and that is a lot.

Fawks

Cats are rubbish. I suppose Kaitlyn is all right because she is a lady of fine breeding and we posh sorts must stick together against riff-raff like Fawks.

Also, like me, she loves attention - when her dad reads the newspaper she rolls about on top of it so he has to play with her instead. That's not a bad idea.

She has a bad temper and can destroy things - she has torn apart sofas. We'd be in so much trouble if we did that but her mum and dad are big softies so she gets away with murder. Like her dad!

Sometimes she even scratches and bites them, which is very naughty. She hates when Ian sings Elvis songs in the shower - it makes her run away and hide.

She is fussy about who she will talk to but the cheeky madam drapes herself all over my mum and dad.

She quite likes dogs so she has that in her favour.

She also dances, which is very cool. When Ian puts on techno she stands on her back legs and waves her front ones at the speakers. She's a raver, like her dad, but a much better dancer.

I suppose Kaitlyn is my pal - but I still hate most cats.
