JESS
This two-year-old cocker spaniel lives with Margaret and Stan Moss in Larkhall, Lanarkshire.
Where did you get her?
From my daughter-in-law.
We fell in love with her straight away.
What does she eat?
Butchers dog food and pasta with cooked chicken.
Where is her name from?
She was called Jet when we got her but it was very girly so we changed it to Jess. It's not too unlike her original name because we did not want to confuse her.
What does she like doing?
Running around the park and chasing birds.
How does she behave around people?
She is a bit timid around strangers but is very friendly once she gets to know you.
What's the oddest thing she has done?
She sits at the window and cries when she sees a bird.
RASCAL
This four-year-old Westie lives with the Cookson family in Elgin, Moray.
Where did you get him?
From a breeder near Huntly, Aberdeenshire, when he was eight weeks old.
What does he eat?
Anything that doesn't resemble dog food.
Where is his name from?
Our daughter Ellen, 10, thought of it when she saw his wee cheeky face.
What does he like doing?
He loves going to the beach for long walks along the sand and playing in the sea.
How does he behave around people?
He loves everyone and always has to be the centre of attention.
What's the oddest thing he has done?
He once swallowed a toy out of a Christmas cracker and had to have surgery to remove it. Needless to say, he is not too fond of visiting the vet any more.
CANDY
This 13-year-old pomeranian lives with Violet Connell in Galston, Ayrshire.
Where did you get her?
From a breeder in Galston.
What does she eat?
Her favourite foods are steak and chicken and anything sweet. She also enjoys drinking coffee.
Where is her name from?
I named her after another beloved pet pomeranian I had 25 years ago.
What does she like doing?
Candy is getting quite old now so she tends to spend quite a lot of her day asleep.
How does she behave around people?
She loves receiving cuddles from everyone she meets and she especially adores playing with my grandchildren.
What's the oddest thing she has done?
She hates being alone and follows me into every room.
She even tags along when I visit the bathroom.
SANDY
This five-year-old toy poodle lives with Grace and Tommy Todd in Netherton, Lanarkshire.
Where did you get him?
He was a Christmas present from my daughter and son-in-law. He was just seven weeks old.
What does he eat?
Almost anything he can get his paws on but his favourite feast is spaghetti bolognese.
Where is his name from?
He was named after his sand-coloured coat.
What does he like doing?
He loves going out for long walks and visiting his wee girlfriend Katy, who lives along the street.
How does he behave around people?
Sandy is very sociable and loves it when we have visitors. He runs around showing off and brings out all his toys so they can play with him.
What's the oddest thing he has done?
As a pup he was not scared of other dogs - he even stood up to a rottweiler.
