BERT
This Border collie lives with Thomas and Gillian Smith in Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire.
Where did you get him?
He is a rescue dog and came from local kennels.
What does he eat?
He likes dry dog food but loves chicken liver and vegetables. He also eats apples and bananas.
Where is the name from?
When we got him, he was called Bertie - which we shortened to Bert.
What does he like doing?
Playing with his toys and playing football.
How does he behave around people?
He loves to be petted and will offer a paw if he knows you well.
What's the oddest thing he has done?
He loves clean laundry.
We once left the washing folded on the bed and he pulled it all off to lie on it.
BUTCH
This three-year-old collie cross lives with Wayne and Maureen Stock in Lossiemouth, Morayshire.
Where did you get him?
From the SSPCA in Inverness.
What does he eat?
He eats tinned dog food and mixer plus Gravy Bones and Markies but his favourite treats are Bonios.
Where is the name from?
He was called Butch when we got him and we kept the name.
What does he like doing?
Getting up early, pulling on his lead and chasing sticks.
How does he behave around people?
He's quite wary of strangers but very friendly once he gets to know you.
What's the oddest thing he does?
When he's finished his food, he puts his paw in the bowl to stop it moving around while he licks it clean.
MAISIE
This five-year-old cat lives with Carol and Michael Murphy in Yoker, Clydebank.
Where did you get her?
From a rescue centre in Ayr.
What does she eat?
She loves fish and chicken.
Where is the name from?
The people at the rescue centre had called her Maisie. We liked the name so much that we decided to keep it.
What does she like doing?
Sitting on the windowsill at the front of the house and watching the world go by.
How does she behave around people?
When people come to visit, she is very shy at first and runs off to hide under the bed. After a while she will come out and allow people to clap her.
What's the oddest thing she does?
When we pull up outside in the car, she jumps up on to the windowsill to welcome us home.
MOLLY
This nine-year-old collie cross lives with Sheena MacTaggart, 11, in Beith, Ayrshire.
Where did you get her?
From a lady in Beith. She cost us a bottle of whisky.
What does she eat?
She eats anything she gets and loves pomegranates.
Where is the name from?
I can't remember but I think it was just because my family liked it.
What does she like doing?
She loves chasing wild rabbits but never manages to catch them. She also likes playing with her blanket.
How does she behave around people?
She loves people and getting patted. The only time she barks is at night when you let her out the back - she pretends there are baddies around.
What's the oddest thing she has done?
Once, at my party, I was blowing up a balloon and she went mad. She started jumping up to get it and growling.
