Fawks & Sidney: Our Doggy Blog

Pets Corner

As all our fans know we are big supporters of doggy charities because we know not everyone is as lucky as us.

This week we have big news for you about a great event we want you all to support.

To sponsor us, click here.

The Lanarkshire Supporter group of the Scottish SPCA have a sponsored dog walk around Strathclyde Park every year.

It is happening on May 18 at 2pm and you don't even have to have a dog to take part, you can just enjoy walking with all the dogs and their owners.

Big news for our fans is that Sidney and I will be there, taking part in the walk along with all the non-famous mutts.

So not only is this a chance for you all to raise lots of money for a great charity, you can even get to meet your favourite Sunday Mail columnists.

Of course not everyone who loves us can come along. There is not a park big enough for that.

If you would like to sponsor Siddy and I you can do that online by going to www.sundaymail.co.uk and following the link. There is another address too which Sid will tell you about.

This will be a fun afternoon for everyone whether they have a dog or not. I hope to see lots of our fans at the park.

I hope you are all ready to dig deep and hand over lots of cash to the SSPCA.

It would be nice to see a lot of our fans at the sponsored dog walk but the most important thing is raising cash for the charity of course.

We want to raise £1000 so please go to www.justgiving.com/fawksandsidney and sponsor us. You will be helping lots of sad animals have a better life.

Of course any of our fans who do have a dog and fancy joining us on the walk should take part.

You need to phone Liz on 01698 423 543 or Betty on 01698 422 233. These nice ladies will register you and send out sponsorship forms and all the information you need to help make a difference.

Hopefully it will be a nice day and we can have fun with all the other dogs and people.

We do love meeting fans but please remember if there are a lot of you there at the same time, we can't talk to everyone at once.

We are very friendly and like to say hello - but I might bark at big dogs just to show them I am not afraid.

See you there.

Sidney
