Animal Magic: Snakes On A Plane - For Real!

If you were on a flight from Cairo recently, you may have followed in the footsteps of the coolest man on the planet, Samuel L. Jackson, in his movie Snakes On A Plane.

A passenger was stopped moments before boarding with a bag jam-packed with live snakes. It also contained baby crocodiles, chameleons and at least one cobra, squirming furiously to escape.

They were discovered after officials detected strange shapes when the bag was X-rayed.

The transport of reptiles, mainly for the pet trade, is illegal in Egypt.

The animals have now found a caring new home at Cairo Zoo.
