I sold my house but the buyer pulled out so it had to be remarketed. The estate agent wants double the cash for twice the work. Must I pay?

Much depends on the conditions of the contract you signed. Usually payment is due on conclusion of missives but, as the first buyer's lawyer withdrew, he should be responsible for costs..
