I split from my wife and moved to Glasgow. She is refusing to sell our house in England but insists I'm still liable for mortgage payments. Do I need an English lawyer to represent me?

YES, as English and Scots law differ. Your only option is to take her to court. This may be expensive but you could be entitled to legal aid.
