I predict grim future if you pay bogus psychic

DODGY psychic Myra has a special message just for you...and the thousands of others she sends her junk mail letters to.

Cross her palm with silver - £5 to be precise - and she will grant you "everlasting happiness, wealth, health and inexhaustible satisfaction".

Myra's messages may appear genuine but if you respond all you will get for your fiver is a whole load more unwanted junk mail.

The Advertising Standards Authority are investigating the con and are urging consumers to bin the letters.

They said: "Do not respond to unsolicited mailings that make preposterous claims such as guarantees of wealth or cures for bad luck. Don't send money up front or give out personal details such as a bank account number. Your identity can be used for fraudulent purposes.

"And remember, once you reply your name is likely to be put on a 'suckers' list and you will receive many more of these scams."

You have been warned.
