Red Faces All Round As Redsave.com Get A Roasting

ONLINE firm Redsave.com have been slammed by watchdogs for misleading the public.

I exposed the Dorset-based outfit in March when my readers unwittingly signed up to a £19.95-a-month club after buying digital photo frames. Redsave refused to offer refunds, claiming their website was clear and blaming customers' "lack of attention".

But the Advertising Standards Authority has taken action over the ad, which was billed as "today only" when it was not and showed an RRP of £99.99 which could not be substantiated.

The ASA said: "This breaches our code on two counts - truthfulness and price. Redsave did not provide documentation that showed the RRP was genuine. We concluded on that point the ad was misleading."

Trading standards have also received 340 complaints about the firm this year. Takemy advice and give them a wide berth.
