I HAD to have communal roof repairs done on my four-in-a-block property. One neighbour backed off when he realised his bill was £800. I paid up front - how can I get it back?

TAKE him to the small claims court. You do not need a lawyer and expenses of up to £150 can be awarded to cover legal fees incurred.
