Garage Wants Extra £1500

I BOUGHT a car from a neighbour and agreed to trade it in at a garage. But the mileage was higher than I'd been told and the garage want another £1500. Can they do this?

YES but you can argue they had reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle and point out that the law on purchasing cars is "buyer beware".
