Jobs Crisis After Migrants Leave

A LABOUR crisis is looming because of a slump in the number of migrants seeking work.

Job agencies in the Highlands say Eastern Europeans are leaving due to a fall in the pound and better economic conditions in their homelands.

The hospitality and catering trades are being hardest hit. A spokesman for one agency said there were five candidates for every job last year but now there are five jobs for every candidate.
