Hope For 1000 In Rescue Deal

AROUND 200 jobs are to be created and 800 saved after an energy firm stepped in to rescue the Goldfish call centre in Cumbernauld.

Scottish and Southern Energy have done a deal with Barclaycard who bought the former Goldfish site for £35million in March and planned to close it by the end of the year.

All 800 staff will be offered jobs and retraining and further expansion is expected to create another 200 jobs.
