STRATHCLYDE POLICE have taken their search for new officers online.

The force, whose beat covers more than 5000 square miles, have launched a massive recruitment drive and aim to collar 800 new cops.

The move follows criticism of the SNP's police recruitment policy with Labour claiming the number of Scottish police had fallen.
