UP to 200 jobs will be created if plans for a new budget hotel get the green light from councillors.

Edinburgh planning bosses are recommending approval for the facility at the FountainPark leisure complex in Dundee Street.

The four-storey, 180-bedroom hotel would contain three restaurants and would be built on the site of the Waikiki Beach theme bar, which closed four years ago.
