THE first of Scotland's new police recruits have completed their training.

A total of 52 of the 150 additional police officers promised by the Government this year passed out of Tulliallan police college in Fife.

The Government have pledged to recruit 1000 extra officers by March 2011. A further 450 are expected to join them next year.
