SCOTLAND'S marine industry supports 50,000 jobs and generates £2.2billion for the economy according to a study.

The Scottish Government report also said the long-term future of the industry remained bright with less pollution and marine life thriving.

The report paves the way for new laws aimed at protecting natural resources.
