Message Board: Tesco Lining Up 200 Store Jobs

SUPERMARKET giants Tesco will bring more than 200 jobs to Dumfries-shire if plans for a new shop are given the thumbs up.

Outlines for a 30,000sqft superstore in Annan were unveiled last week, with Tesco claiming to have locals' support. Douglas Wilson, their corporate affairs manager for Scotland, said the new store could be opened within six months of starting construction. An application will be lodged with the council this week.
