Children Can Have Asthma Attacks

Q MY mum has chronic lung disease and I am worried that the talcum powder she uses may be making it worse. Can it?

A IT is unlikely. Talcum-related lung problems happen when the talc has been contaminated with silica. Children can have asthma attacks triggered by talc but only if there is a high concentration in the air.
