Don't Be Down In The Mouth

Family casebook TEETH

IF your child knocks out a baby tooth, apply pressure to minimise bleeding and see your dentist as soon as possible as you need to ensure the tooth underneath is not damaged.

If an adult tooth is knocked out, try to put it back into the socket as quickly as you can and hold it there.

If you can't do this then put the tooth into milk or water and go to the dentist. The sooner you can do this, the more likely that the tooth can be saved.

For toothache, don't use heat or aspirin as this can make it worse. Apply a cold compress and take paracetamol and ibuprofen.
