I mentioned about the meat breaking up in the sausages if there is no skin or if they burst.
But there is another way to enjoy them. It's easy to make a really nice child-friendly pasta sauce with quality sausages.
Split the skin and remove the meat. Break it up and then simply use it as you would mince when you're making a bolognese sauce.
With a good quality jar of tomato pasta sauce added to decent sausage meat, it makes a great dinner.
Kids love it when I tell them they are having sausage pasta.
