BRITAIN'S Got Talent star Andrew Muir almost came a cropper falling asleep at the wheel after a lads' weekend in Blackpool.

The singing plumber still gets about in his works van but has his heart set on a sporty convertible.

What do you drive?

A Citroen Berlingo van. It's a battered old white-van-man deal but I need it for work.

Would you replace a burst tyre or call for help?

Replace it.

What's your scariest moment on the road?

Being woken up by my mate screaming my name during a return trip from Blackpool.

I looked out the window and we were going sideways along the motorway.

We ended up doing a full 360 degrees before coming to a stop in the fast lane.

It was absolutely terrifying.

If you could be in charge of transport policy for the day, what would you change?

I would increase the speed limit by 10mph on quiet country roads.

Who would be your dream passenger and who would you leave stranded in a lay-by?

Dream: Jessica Alba Lay-by: I'm too nice to leave anyone stranded - even the Britain's Got Talent judges.

What is your dream car?

A Porsche 911 convertible.

Favourite novelty car of all time?

I loved the Peel P50 that Jeremy Clarkson drove into a lift on the Top Gear show.
