A WORLD record was set yesterday for the largest-ever gathering of people wearing gorilla costumes.

About 750 runners dressed as apes took part in a 7km race to raise cash for endangered animals.

TV wildlife expert Bill Oddie fired the starting pistol on the sixth Great Gorilla Run in London.
